Frontman Brandon Flowers merely pointed at guitarist Dave Keuning, who began strumming a few signature chords, and the 2013 Lollapalooza crowd went nuts for the Killers. Who wouldn't? They opened with none other than 'Mr. Brightside!'

The band performed hits from throughout their catalog, from 'Hot Fuss' to 'Sam's Town' to 'Day & Age' and 'Battle Born.' Flowers and Co. teased the Lollapalooza revelers with their breakout hit, 'Somebody Told Me,' by leading into it with an extended intro.

"The motto here is ... 'City in a Garden,'" Flowers said, leading into 'A Dustland Fairy Tale.' "We come from the jewel of the Mojave Desert, Las Vegas, Nevada ... and our motto is 'What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.' It's not as nice as 'City in a Garden,' and it's also not true, otherwise the Killers would not be here with you tonight!"

Based on the audience appreciation of the band's set, it's safe to say that Chicago was thrilled that the Killers didn't, in fact, stay in Vegas.
