Chris Rock: Comedian, actor, and now, director again with 'Top Five,' a film that had plenty of people talking when it premiered at this year's film festival in Toronto. Paramount wasted no time picking the film up, and it seems like the studio is wasting very little time in getting Rock's very promising indie project out there as quickly as possible. Judging by the first trailer, featuring a cast of incredibly funny and talented folks, this is going to be delightful.

Rock stars in the film as washed-up comedian and film star Andre Allen (shades of 'Funny People'), who is desperately trying to figure out the next phase of his career. When he meets a journalist for the New York Times (Rosario Dawson), Andre is forced to examine his past and the choices that have led him to where he is now. The entire film takes place over the course of one day, calling to mind Julie Delpy's '2 Days in New York,' which also starred Rock -- seems as though someone was certainly paying attention on set.

Bolstered by a cast that includes Gabrielle Union, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, Michael Che, Cedric the Entertainer, Sherri Shepherd, Anders Holm, Romany Malco, Leslie Jones, and Jay Pharoah, 'Top Five' looks like it could be one of the funniest and most touching comedies of the year.
