All of the 'Toy Story' toys (and the famous actors who provide their voices) have returned for the Pixar holiday special 'Toy Story of Terror,' which has just released its first clip. Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) Woody (Tom Hanks) and Mr. Pricklepants (Timothy Dalton) have to deal with a missing Mr. Potato Head, and it's possible he was taken by a ghost!

Pixar has been good about keeping the 'Toy Story' characters around in short films, and though it would be easy to dismiss this as another example of keeping the brand alive, like many we grew up on the Rankin/Bass and 'Peanuts' holiday specials, so it's great to see one of the best animated studios take up that mantle. Perhaps this will become a perennial favorite... if it's good.

We'll know for sure when 'Toy Story of Terror' airs on ABC at 8 P.M. on October 16. Here's the special's synopsis:

What starts out as a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this Toy Story of Terror.
