Tracy Morgan is in critical but stable condition and showing signs of improvement, following the six-car accident the comedian was involved in on Saturday, June 7.

The fatal accident led to the death of 62-year-old comedian James McNair and the hospitalization of four others, including 45-year-old Tracy. The ’30 Rock’ actor was a passenger in a Mercedes limo bus when a tractor-trailer collided with the vehicle on a highway in New Jersey around 1AM.

The actor’s rep told E! News, “Today was a better day. While Tracy remains in critical, but stable, condition, he continues to show signs of improvement. His medical team remains optimistic that his recovery is progressing. [Tracy’s fiancée] Megan remains by his side and is relaying the countless good wishes and prayers that his family, friends and fans have been sending their way.”

Kevin Roper, the driver of the semi-truck, had not slept in over 24 hours prior to the collision. The truck swerved and hit the limo, causing it to flip over and seriously injure its passengers.

Our thoughts are with Tracy and the rest of the recovering passengers during this difficult time.
