Statistics for the Week: In four games she compiled a .444 batting average going 4-for-9 at the plate, while hitting for the cycle. Her big game came Saturday in the opening game of a doubleheader against Calumet College-St. Joseph where she 2-for-3 with 6 RBI and 2 runs scored. She also belted her first collegiate grand slam in the game and had a two-run double. For the week she had a 1.111 slugging percentage and a .545 on-base percentage and recorded 22 putouts and two assists without committing an error in the field.

What advice would you give to a younger player about the sport you are involved in that would help them improve? Work hard to be different than any other softball layer. Have confidence that you will field this ball and get this hit. Have fun and play for yourself and not for anyone else.

What is you background and experience in the sport you participate in? I’ve played softball since I was four years old. In high school I played and started as a first baseman all four years. My senior year we made it to the third round of the playoffs.
