We're pretty proud of law enforcement in the Crossroads, they always go above and beyond the call of duty, they're involved in the community in positive ways beyond enforcing the law, and they're always receiving positive feedback. As a matter of fact, they've just received recognition from the Texas Police Association.

For the third time, the Victoria Police Department got top marks from the association, named a Re-Recognized Agency, through the group's Texas Law Enforcement Best Practices Recognition Program.

Very few agencies get this honor, in fact only 139 out of over 2,400 agencies have been recognized. Police Chief J.J. Craig said the department has to meet 168 standards based on state law and contemporary practices. Craig called it the gold standard of accreditation programs.
