Are you interested in making our fair city and your own neighborhood a better place to live? One way to do that is through better communication with the Victoria Police Department.

Throughout 2015, VPD will be putting on Community Zone Meetings to hear from you. Do you have any questions about law enforcement in our community? Are there any related issues you'd like to hear about? Want to just thank our boys in blue for all they do? That's what these meetings will be all about. It's also a great way to meet members of the department's command staff and other community leaders. There have been a few meetings for other zones so far this year, and VPD officials say they are disappointed with the turnout. This really is an opportunity to spend a little time with our men and women in blue to both get to know them (who are all pretty nice folks, by the way) and, talk about any concerns you may have about the area where you live. Seriously, it's not often that you get a chance like this, with a police force that is truly interested in your concerns.

These meetings are 'zone specific', which means that each one is for a specific area of the city. The next meeting is for zone 400, which will be held Thursday, March 26th starting at 6pm, and will be held at Chandler Elementary School, located at 5105 Guy Grant Rd.
