Are you interested in making our fair city and your own neighborhood a better place to live? One way to do that is through better communication with the Victoria Police Department.

Throughout 2015, VPD will be putting on Community Zone Meetings to hear from you. Do you have any questions about law enforcement in our community? Are there any related issues you'd like to hear about? Want to just thank our boys in blue for all they do? That's what these meetings will be all about. It's also a great way to meet members of the department's command staff and other community leaders.

These meetings are 'zone specific', which means that each one is for a specific area of the city. The first one is for the 100 zone, and will be held Thursday, January 22nd from 6-8pm at the Hopkins Elementary School cafeteria at 110 Hopkins St. More meetings for other zones will be held throughout the year.

For more information, call the Victoria Police Department at (361) 485-3757.
