It'll be will.i.am and Britney b---- once again, as the Black Eyed Peas singer has confirmed that he is indeed executing producing the next Britney Spears album, which will be her eighth.

"After I did a song on 'Femme Fatale' – 'Big Fat Bass' – and then we did 'Scream & Shout,' she really liked the way we worked because of my approach," will told Rolling Stone. "So they asked me to be involved in, not producing and writing every song, but to be an executive producer on the songs."

So, he will get a chance to work his magic on the material.

The singer did not confirm what other songwriters and producers are involved in the project, only revealing that Brit likes Diplo, who is rumored to have involvement.

Will's main goal with the album is to make sure that the music reveals Brit the person, not merely Brit the artist. In order to achieve that, he is getting to know her as a person, since he already knows her as an artist who likes making songs about getting down and dancing. Smart strategy, will!

"I was like, 'OK, look, guys, me and Britney need to have lunch four times a month for three months before I even try to go in the studio with her,'" will.i.am said. "Because we need to talk. We need to talk about what she's excited about in life. I gotta talk about the things that hurt her. I gotta talk about the things that make her concerned – she's a mother. I gotta talk to her about all the things that her fans want to talk to her about. I gotta be the vehicle between her and her fans."

He added, "We can't do another song about going on the dance floor. Really? Didn't we see a bunch of Britney doing that already? Don't we want to see something that comes from her heart?"

Will wants to go so deep that he hits marrow -- no more fluffy, frothy, generic Britney. He wants a piece of Brit's heart and soul on this album. With her recent split from fiancé Jason Trawick weighing on that heart and soul, perhaps this will be the album where we finally meet Britney Jean Spears.

So, this could be a watershed record for Brit, where she makes a legit leap from a girl to a woman, to twist a lyrical phrase from the pop diva herself.
