12-Year-Old Texas Boy Arrested for School Shooting Threats
Terrifying threats about school shootings in Texas are beginning to circulate on social media, creating panic among students and parents.
With the heartbreaking amount of school shootings across the country, no threat is too small to be taken seriously. In San Antonio, Texas a photo with threats of shooting multiple schools began to spread around town. Parents and students were terrified to go to or send their children to the allegedly targeted schools.
San Antonio Police were informed of the photo and wasted no time, quickly investigating the potentially very serious threats. SAPD detectives were able to track down the person who created the threats. In a shocking revelation, detectives revealed the original poster was a 12-year-old boy.
"Today, SAPD Detectives were made aware of this social media post that had been circulating on various platforms. The detectives worked to identify the individual responsible for this post and arrested him on 7 counts of Terroristic Threats- Public Serious Bodily Injury.
SAPD urges parents to be aware of their children's social media activity. SAPD takes all threats seriously, and will make arrests whenever laws are broken."

These types of posts are beginning to circulate around other areas of Texas, including Victoria, Texas. A photo naming multiple elementary and middle schools was passed around social media, causing complete panic and stress.
Victoria Independent School District revealed that they were aware of the accusations and are taking it very seriously. A text sent to parents read:
"Law enforcement agencies(LEAs) are actively investigating these posts to ensure the safety of your school community. At this time there are no verified threats and out of an abundance of caution, we are working closely together to monitor the situation."
