A 28-year-old man in Houston, Texas was arrested by the FBI for trying to help the dangerous terrorist group, ISIS.

The FBI in Houston explained that Anas Said admitted that he was planning an attack in the U.S. He was arrested on November 8 at his apartment in Houston, Texas.

The FBI says Said was learning how to carry out violent acts to help ISIS. He was thinking about attacking places where military recruits train, offered his apartment as a hiding place for ISIS members, and even said he wanted to do a large attack similar to 9/11, if he could. Said also made videos showing armed groups in battles, with words praising ISIS and showing the number of people hurt by the group.

FBI GETS WORD IN 2017

This was not the first time Said got the FBI’s attention. The FBI first heard about him in 2017 when someone reported that he was buying stickers with ISIS symbols. Since then, the FBI interviewed him four times. In one interview, he said he started believing in what ISIS stood for.

If Said is found guilty, he could go to prison for 20 years and pay a fine of up to $250,000.
