Traffic on State Highway 35 will be on the increase this weekend as Texans from around the Crossroads head to Rockport for the 24th Annual Rockport Wine Festival hosted by the Texas Maritime Museum.

Grab your friends and head to Rockport on Saturday as the event kicks off at 2 p.m. with tons of wine, craft beer, amazing local cuisine, and a great lineup of live music will make for a great way to celebrate Memorial Day weekend.

Support the Texas Maritime Museum

The Wine and Food Festival benefits the Texas Maritime Museum and its role in educating Texans about Texas Maritime history. The trip from Victoria is a nice and easy drive down the coast, and even outside of festival weekend the museum is a fun place to visit for kids or adults. The library inside and exhibits focus on 4 main themes: Offshore Petroleum, Texas Seaports along the Gulf of Mexico, Settlement of the Texas Gulf Coast, and the Texas seafood and fishing industries.

Sunsets, Sea-Breeze, and Sips

The Festival is spread out over the grounds of the Texas Maritime Museum which is located right on the water in Rockport. This year's theme is Sunsets, Sea-Breeze, and Sips. Parking is spread out around the waterfront. On a normal weekend, you can park almost anywhere, practically right on the beach. During the festival weekend, you'll want to pay attention to parking signs for the best options.
