50 Cent Confirms ‘Power’ TV Series Ending After Next Season
On Thursday (May 9), the rapper used an Instagram post to announce that the show will conclude after its sixth season ends later this year.
"Augs25 starts Season 6 is the final season of POWER. I have 4 spinoff shows coming so don’t trip Starz #lecheminduroi #bransoncognac," 50 wrote in the caption for the post, which includes an image of him rocking a white tuxedo. In a comment he posted underneath the photo, he also said the latest season of the TV series will include 15 episodes.
Speaking on the show's impending conclusion, Power Executive Producer Courtney Kemp told fans that they can expect more exploits to take place within the Power universe, hinting at the Power spinoffs 50 Cent speaks of in the process.
“We will follow some of your beloved Power characters beyond the scope of the initial series,” Kemp told Deadline. “But we will play with your expectations of which characters, where, and the master timeline of it all, creating a Power universe as unpredictable as the original."
While there aren't a ton of details regarding the Power spinoffs, 50 has hinted that at least one of the shows would be set in the late 1980s. We'll just have to wait and see.
