Adam Levine + His Tattoos Cover INKED
Adam Levine and his many tattoos cover the September issue of INKED, the tattoo mag. Levine is so much more than a singer of a pop rock band these days, with his role as a coach on ‘The Voice‘ and as characters in ‘American Horror Story’ and in ‘Can a Song Save Your Life?.’ He is heavily inked and he shows off his body art in this cool spread. There’s lots of shots of the ‘Payphone’ singer (and his biceps) in a muscle car.
There’s no denying that the Maroon 5 singer is a handsome and sexy man. He is classically good-looking with dark features and perpetual five o’clock shadow. But he oozes rugged sexuality, thanks to the tatts and the tanks he wears in the feature.
Ladies, wouldn’t you love to take a ride with Levine in that sweet convertible?
Levine’s heavily drawn on arms are also a centerpiece of the photos, as is the new necklace that he had inked on his person in Japan. He claims to have been bored when he got it. He also has the Sanskrit word “tapas” tattooed on him right above his heart. “The meaning is a little bit loose and can get misinterpreted, but when applied to talking about yoga, it has to do with my fire or determination for the practice,” he said. “It’s a personal thing. That’s kind of why I put it in a place that’s a bit more hidden.”
Levine also took a minute to address the critics who are bashing Maroon 5′s ‘Overexposed,’ which dropped in June and features a few songs that were written by committee and with synthetic elements. He declared that “music critics are all f—ing idiots. The way that we make our records is no different from the way that certain bands make their records with just as much programming, just as many loops, and just as much fairy dust as we use.”
Yikes! Maybe Levine shouldn’t read so much of his own press.
