Disturbing Facebook posts, divorce, and guilt admissions should have been enough to indicate trouble was brewing, however, no one caught on, and a murder-suicide ensued.

PARANOID ON SOCIAL MEDIA

34-year-old Youree Kang was living a paranoid life in Austin, Texas. Kang began posting concerning statuses on Facebook just days before he would commit an unimaginably heinous crime.

Posts like, “I’m terrified of what’s going to happen to me because everyone is instilling fear in me,” and “Every time I ask, it’s like everyone knows something, but won’t share it with me,” were written by Kang just days before he would snap.

TAKES AIMS AT HIS YOUNG WIFE

His attention and paranoia soon turned towards his wife, “My wife has also been acting very strange lately,” he wrote on Facebook, “She’s not the same person as I met her. For 10 years, she stuck by my craziness and now she’s quick to a divorce. I was hoping for us to continue to grow with each other.”

Kang also expressed guilt about his relationship. He admitted to dating Hannah, his wife when she was a minor.

“I’ve been a menace in society and I’d like to clear my name. I was in an abusive and toxic mindset when I first met my wife, Hannah,” he wrote.

Upon getting to know her, she told me her age and I still pursued to have a relationship with her. It was wrong of me and I can never give her her precious life back,” he wrote.

Days after writing these posts, Kang and his wife Hannah could not be found by their families. Hannah's aunt noticed their vehicles at home but after she was unable to get anyone to answer the door, she called the police for a welfare check.

When Austin police arrived, they gained entry inside the home and discovered the bodies of 25-year-old Hannah and 34-year-old Kang. Both died from stab wounds in an apparent murder-suicide.
