Barbz Drag Bhad Bhabie Over Nicki Minaj Mention

Nicki Minaj's Barbz are not feeling Bhad Bhabie at all at the moment.

The young rapper was on Instagram Live on Tuesday night (Aug. 20) when she decided to discuss the topic of women in rap who may or may not write their own lyrics. For her argument, Bhad Bhabie explained how even the biggest artists in the game use hooks that were written for them by someone else.

"Y’all just don’t understand how this industry works and it’s so sad and it’s so upsetting because people put a lot of work into getting things done and then y’all hear, 'Oh she didn’t write that hook? Well fuck her!' What?!" she said. "Y'all know most of the biggest names—Drake, Nicki—all those people had shit get written for them too! Wayne! All types of people get shit written for them! Whether they actually use it or not, shit still gets written! Even sometimes in sessions, artists will talk to their friends and be like, ‘Ay should I say this?’ And they’ll be like, ‘Ay nah you should say this!’ That’s how shit gets done! Sometimes it’s a team effort!"

The backlash from the Barbz came quickly, and soon Bhabie's mentions were filled with replies from fans defending the future Mrs. Minaj-Petty.

"WHEN NICKI SAID SHE WROTE EVERY RAP SHE SPIT SHE DIDNT LIE WHY THE FUCK WOULD SHE SAY THAT IF IT WAS THAT EASY TO FIND @BhadBhabie," one fan wrote. "YOU ARE DUMB AS FUCK ON WIKIPEDIA AS IF WIKIPEDIA IS RELIABLE. Just because you use writers doesn’t mean everyone else does. Clown lookin ass!"

In another IG Live session soon after, Bhad Bhabie clarified that she wasn't insinuating that these artists don't write at all.

"I forgot that Nicki's fandom, majority of them are brainwashed and brain-dead and just so in love with her that they believe anything she says. Whatever," she said. "Not once did I ever say that Nicki doesn't write all of her music or that Cardi doesn't write all of her music or that City Girls or Lil Wayne or any of them people that I brought up earlier...What I said was hooks are given to them [and] verses are given to them sometimes."

She later addressed the matter on Twitter as well, writing, "Got love for Cardi, Got love for Nicki, Got love for everybody except dumb hoes wit double standards who don’t do they research."

Bhad Bhabie has had issues with Iggy Azalea in the past, but she has remained neutral on Nicki and Cardi up until this point. Neither rapper has responded as of press time.
