Free Event in Cuero to Help You Be Prepared for Hurricanes and Floods

When a hurricane or flood comes one of the worst feelings in the world is wishing you were better prepared, especially when you have to evacuate.

I've lived in Victoria for almost thirty years as well as having family in Cuero who have lived there for generations, so I know all about the effects of flooding, weather, and flood damage. Likely, if you're not new to South Texas you know exactly what I mean.

Hurricane and Flooding Preparedness Day June 12th in Cuero

Thankfully Cuero Regional Hospital has us covered. On Saturday, June 12th from 9 am to 1 pm they are hosting Hurricane & Flood Preparedness Day at Cuero Intermediate School, located at 502 Parks Height Drive in Cuero Texas.

We had a special guest in the studio today, Emily Weatherly of Cuero Regional Hospital.

Emily Weatherly of Cuero Regional Hospital was in the studio today to talk to us about the event which is free to the public. She offered details on the Hurricane & Flooding Preparedness Day event which will include information booths to help us be better prepared in the event of inclement weather. Those to attend will be given critical information with subjects like insurance, medicine kits, and health precautions as well as information from authorities like Texas Floodplain  Management Association and the Texas Water Development Board.

Door prizes will also be a part of this free event!
