Beyonce Knowles Announces Pregnancy at VMAs

Beyonce Knowles announced that she’s expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z on the black carpet of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night. Arriving in a flowy, Grecian-inspired orange frock, Knowles pulled back the material and showed off her sizable bump to the delight of the crowd.

The very public announcement was uncharacteristic for the couple, whose courtship and 2008 wedding were kept extremely private.

And Jay-Z had a surprise of his own at the VMAs: an unannounced performance with Kanye West of the duo’s single ‘Otis.’
