It's not Franken-Tex, but that's all I could think of watching the real-time video that shows the almost hour-long process of raising the icon into position ahead of this year's "drive-thru" Big Tex Experience.

The State Fair of Texas has indeed been canceled but some quick thinking has resulted in a "drive-thru" style event allowing visitors to still enjoy a "taste" of the fair without having to leave their cars. Now the only thing you need to worry about is not spilling the deep-fried Oreos in the car on the way home.

Tickets are on sale now for the Big Tex Drive-thru Experience which includes all the tasty fair favorites to go along with a chance to grab a photo with Big Tex himself. Just remember to wear your mask.

Big Tex's Drive-Thru Experience will begin from September 25th to October 18th. Cyber fair activities will take place that you can participate in from home. Enjoy cooking classes, virtual car shows, online exhibits, and even a CG ride on the Texas Star ferris wheel.
