Blue Santa is Back and Victoria Police Department is Ready To Help
For the third year in a row, the Victoria Police Department has eagerly announced it will be hosting its third annual Target toy drive. You can count on Blue Santa being there eagerly accepting your toy donations.
Toy drives during the holidays are a great way to get kids involved and teach generosity. Blue Santa will be making his appearance so be sure to snag a photo while you are there!
KEEPING IT IN THE COMMUNITY
The Victoria Police Department is always thinking of ways to give back to the community they protect daily. One of the extraordinary things about their Blue Santa toy drive is that every generous toy donation will go to Victoria's Region 3's Early Childhood Intervention program and Toys for Tots.
WHAT IS REGION 3?
Think of Region 3 as a service center for educators and families. They are here to help the community by serving and supporting educators and families to help students succeed, and have been doing so in Victoria for over 40 years!
WHAT IS THE EARLY CHILDHOOD INTERVENTION PROGRAM?
Early Childhood Intervention is a Region 3 program that provides support for families with children up to 36 months who are diagnosed with conditions that affect their development such as:
- Developmental delays/disabilities
- Muscle tone issues
- Behavior concerns
- Feeding Issues
They provide specialized support and services to "strengthen family's ability to access resources and improve their child's development through daily activities."
