Cardi B Changes ‘Motorsport’ Lyrics to Be About Divorcing Migos Rapper Offset
The New York rapper performed a modified version of hit single "Motorsport," which features both of them, during Chicago's B96 Jingle Bash on Saturday. The new lyrics included tidbits about how exactly their breakup went down.
"I get up set off/ I turn Offset on/ I told him the other day/ Yeah, we gon' get a divorce," she rapped for the crowd.
The original lyrics include "Man, we should see that porn" in place of the lyrics about their split.
One day after Cardi's performance, Offset took to Twitter to share his feelings on their split. It's clear he and his former wife aren't quite on the same page about the whole thing.
"F--- YALL I MISS CARDI," he wrote.
Cardi, 26, and Offset secretly married in 2017. They welcomed their first child together, 4-month-old Kulture, not long after. Cardi confirmed the split on Tuesday, telling her Instagram followers she and Offset were "not together anymore."
Offset's alleged infidelity is thought to have been a factor in the split, thought Cardi did not confirm that in her announcement. She did, however, maintain that they still "love each other."
"We got a lot of love for each other but things just haven't been working out between us for a long time. And it's nobody's fault...it might take time to get a divorce and I'm gonna always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter's father," she said.
Cardi B's estranged husband is rumored to have been caught cheating again prior to their split. The Shade Room posted a video of him and Summer Bunni, whom he is said to have been arranging a threesome with, on FaceTime. Bunni later issued an apology in a TMZ video, claiming she "didn't know how serious" Offset's marriage to Cardi was.
"I never wanted to break up a happy home," she said.
Cuban Doll, the alleged third in Offset and Bunni's rumored arrangement, told TMZ she never hooked up with Offset or even met him. She added that she spoke with Cardi about the ordeal and has been cleared.
