Cardi B gives her fans a surprise new single. Previously announcing that her song "Money" would drop this Thursday (Oct. 25), the song ended up being shared a few days early and was released today (Oct. 23).

Over a simplistic hard-hitting beat, Cardi raps about exactly what you might expect—her love of money—but also manages to get in some flexes on her haters. "All y'all bitches in trouble/Bring brass knuckles to the scuffle/"I heard Cardi went pop"/Yeah I did go pop, that's me bustin' that bubble," she raps. Towards the end of the three-minute song, she picks up the pace and rattles off some effortless rhymes.

The new song comes as Cardi's career continues to reach astronomical levels. Last week, she took home a number of trophies at both the 2018 American Music Awards and the 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards, where she also performed her songs "Get up 10" and "Backin' It Up" with Pardison Fontaine. Earlier this year, she broke the record for the first female hip-hop artist in history to have three No. 1 songs. Let's see if "Money" will be able to take her to her fourth No. 1.
