Full ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Lineup Stretches the Definition of ‘Stars’
Dancing With the Stars is readying its 21st (!!) season on ABC, because America's appetite for SONG AND DANCE is matched only by their zest for watching a C-list star attempt a sassy tango. The show announced its full lineup on Good Morning America this morning (September 2), and paired each cast addition with their professional dancer partners.
Gary Busey, actor, known loose cannon and onetime Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew cast member, announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live that he'd be strapping on his dancing shoes. Whether those shoes are made entirely of cocaine remains to be seen.
In addition to Busey, the full cast is Tamar Braxton, Nick Carter, Chaka Khan, controversial ex-Food Network star Paula Deen, Real Atlantan Housewife and Bravo programming pillar Kim Zolciak, Hayes Grier (he makes Vines!), horse jockey Victor Espinoza, Andy Grammer (he has that one song!), Bindi Irwin, Big Time Rush's Carlos Pena Jr., his wife Alexa PenaVega (you know, from Spy Kids!), and Alek Skarlatos. Skarlotos only rose to fame a week ago, when the Army National Guard Specialist and two friends subdued a man who allegedly opened fire on a Paris train.
If your response to that list was mostly "who?" and you needed a few prompts, you're forgiven. The show's been known to use the term "star" liberally in its search for willing participants, often accepting "fame-adjacent" as an acceptable qualification.
Here's the full list of cast members below, along with the dancers they'll be competing next to:
Alexa PenaVega with Mark Ballas
Alek Skarlatos with Lindsay Arnold
Andy Grammer with Allison Holker
Bindi Irwin with Derek Hough
