One of Texas's most anticipated river celebrations, the Day of the Dead river parade in San Antonio is back on schedule and back in person.
After having to go virtual last year due to COVID-19, one of the most anticipated Dias De Los Muertos celebrations in San Antonio, the Day of the Dead River Parade, in downtown SA has gotten the green light to go on as scheduled and in person on October 29th, 2021.
What can you expect at the Day of the Dead Parade?
Imagine a celebration so rich in culture, history, and color you stand in awe of the revelry with the sounds of merriment and mariachis playing in the background of your mind while you watch some of the most beautiful floats, costumes and dancers you've ever seen in your life, float by you, lightening your mind and the memories you have of family members who have gone on before you.
Along the way, there will be paintings, crafts, booths, food, jewelry and music at every turn along the way.
It's been said that nowhere in Texas is the Day of the Dead celebrated more than in San Antonio. In fact, more than two-thirds of the population of San Antonio is Hispanic, and as you might well know, Dias De Los Muertos is a Mexican holiday dating back over 3,000 years ago.
