Congratulations to the graduating class of Victoria College and it's Vocational Nursing Program in Cuero, Texas!
The graduates as seen in the photo above are: Austin Gallaway, Emily Bertram, Brandy Beyer, Sarah Castillo, and Leo Trevino, all of Cuero; Alma Marshall of Victoria; Jessica Engelhardt of Hallettsville; and Alyssa Garza of Yorktown.
Not only did they commit themselves to graduation, but three of the graduates have already been hired for full-time positions in their profession. Three other graduates will continue with Victoria College to enroll in their Associate Degree Nursing Program.
Patrick Thiry is the Victoria College instructor for the VN Program in Cuero said, “As challenging and uncertain as to their education and most importantly their lives were during these difficult times, they made the adjustment, persevered and conquered all obstacles that were thrown at them. That mindset is what will guide them to a successful career and life. I am so proud of them all. It was an honor to be their teacher and mentor during the past year.”
The Vocational Nursing Program at Vitoria College is a 12-month certificate program that is offered on the VC Main Campus and also in Cuero, Gonzales, and Hallettsville. This certificate and program are approved by the Texas Board of Nursing.
Successful completion of the program enables students to take the National Licensure Exam for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN). Satisfactory achievement on the exam qualifies students for licensure as a vocational nurse.
