Devastating Texas Crash Kills 3, Including an 8 Year Old Child
A devastating and fiery crash injured 3 people and killed 3 more, including an 8-year-old.
ATTEMPTING TO FLEE POLICE
El Paso police attempted to pull over 21-year-old Carlos Alejandro Martinez after he was caught traveling at a high speed in a 2004 Nissan Armada. Martinez decided to accelerate to an unsafe speed and began to flee the police.
According to Special Traffic Investigators, the officer decided to disengage from the traffic stop due to the dangerously high speed Martinez was traveling. Martinez took the Zaragoza exit ramp, ran a red light, and smashed into numerous vehicles at the intersection.
THE HORRIFIC CRASH
The crash was so severe, that one of the vehicles horrifically burst into flames while it still had passengers inside. Gut-wrenching video shows the harrowing wreck that left multiple vehicles completely smashed up and flames bursting out of a 2008 Tan Mazda Tribute.
ATTEMPTING TO FLEE THE SCENE
Martinez was pulled out of his vehicle by officers and placed on the ground. Martinez was injured, however, he managed to get up and run away from the drastic scene. After refusing to stop, police deployed a taser and detained Martinez.
3 HEARTBREAKING DEATHS
The crash ultimately killed three people and injured three more. A 31-year-old female, a 27-year-old female, and an 8-year-old female. were among those killed. The worst part of these heartbreaking deaths was, they were all completely preventable.
CHARGES AND BONDS
Carlos Alejandro Martinez is now facing three counts of murder with a total bond set at $3,000,000.
