Faithful Texas Pitbull Loses His Life to Save His People
It's one of the most heart-wrenching facts about our most faithful pets... they will unquestionably risk their lives to save their family.
Sadly, that is exactly what happened when a Texas family watched their mobile home burn down and their pit bull was nowhere to be found after the fire was controlled.
In a very emotional interview a Texas woman explains that during the night on New Year's Eve, their family pit bull named Ollie actually alerted his 15 year old "sister" to their house fire.
In the video you hear that Ollie had actually woken the 15 year old and during the confusion of getting out of the door before the home was completely engulfed.
Neighbors were banging on the door and Ollie's parents were struggling to get the family and young puppies out of the house when smoke filled the house.
The 15 year old daughter started to panic once she was outside saying that Ollie had woken her up. Sadly he was found hours later, dead from smoke inhalation and resting in peace at the end of her bed.
It is one of the most emotional videos I've watched in a long time.

Why are dogs so faithful to their owners?
Reports like the one from Dogalize, offer that dogs and humans only began to share their lives about13,000 years ago but once a dog joins a "pack" he stays with that pack in order for it to succeed, seeing their human families as equals.
"Research demonstrates that dogs are more human-like in their behavior than primates. This is due to so many years among humans, trying to improve communication with us."
Ollie getting into the 15 year old's room and waking her up to save her life was the ultimate message of love and dedication.
Ollie will be deeply missed.
