Free Tax Prep Services in Victoria

Having lived in several states over my years in radio broadcasting it's always interesting when tax time comes around. Thankfully, my last move kept me in the same state. There is nothing like having to file out of state returns.

The trick is to take a look at different organizations that may be offering professional services at a reduced rate. In some cases, the service is even offered for free.

This is the case over at the Victoria Senior Citizens Center. They are in their 10th season of offering AARP volunteer tax preparers for ANYONE that needs the service. There it is. FREE tax prep. The center is located at 603 E. Murray Street.

Crossroadstoday.com reports that the Executive Director of the Victoria Senior Citizens Center Dan William-Capone says they are pleased to be offering the service for more than 10 years now. If you want to take advantage of the offer, William-Capone says the time to get it in gear is now.

These hard-working tax preppers crunch numbers on about 50 returns per day. They are available Monday through Friday from 8 A.M. until 2 P.M. The service is offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
