Though Dianna Agron wasn't invited to Cory Monteith's tribute episode, she still holds her onetime 'Glee' costar close to her heart. The starlet, who likely won't be returning to the show at all, appeared on 'Katie' to promote her new movie, 'The Family' and wax poetic about her fallen friend.

"It's one of those things that still doesn't seem real," Agron said, holding back tears. "And you just take out a new lease on life, and you realize that he's smiling down on us." She added, "We all have ... nothing but the truth, which is that he was one of the most amazing people that I've ever met. Generous, loving, kind and that's how he'll always be remembered."

Agron maintained a graceful smile throughout the interview, but her eyes were incredibly sad.

Previously, Agron praised Monteith similarly. "He was truly one of the most wonderful people I've ever met in my entire life," she said, "and that's something that everybody can say about him, you know?"

Our thoughts remain with Agron, Monteith's loved ones and the 'Glee' family.
