Who has a taste for some crawfish? Good, I see lots of hands! Lots of hungry Texans in Victoria are planning to be a part of the Backyard Boil hosted by the Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity.

The event was recently shared by Elena Watts with the Victoria Advocate. The only thing better than the food is the news that all of the proceeds from the event will go to help families build and move into new homes in the Crossroads area.

The fun happens on April 17th, over at Fossati Park (5102 N. Vine Street) from 5-10 p.m.

Golden Cresent Habitat for Humanity was able to raise nearly $100,000 back in 2019 as part of the funds raised by events like the Backyard Boil, which helped put 37 families under a brand new roof.

Due to the pandemic, they will not be able to sell general admission tickets to the Backyard Boil. Tickets will instead be available at a table. Each table sits up to 10 guests and will be available for $1,250 or $125 per person. Around 300 to 350 guests are expected at this year's event. If they sell out all the tables then Golden Cresent Habitat for Humanity should be able to plan on bringing home around.$35,000.

Those who attend the Backyard Boil will be in for a treat as Honeybrowne will be opening the show followed by Sundance Head from Houston. Cody Canada will be the evening's headliner. The good people at Del Papa Distributing will donate beer to this year's Backyard Boil. Hope we see you there for a great cause.

Acoustic music will be provided during the event. Honeybrowne will open the show followed by Sundance Head from Houston who appeared on “The Voice.” Headliner Cody Canada will wrap up the show. Del Papa Distributing will donate the beer. Guests also can bring their own bottles. Mixers will be provided.
