The FBI’s Corpus Christi office, along with local authorities, has successfully stopped a planned mass casualty attack.

Seth, also known as Andrea Gregori, was arrested on state charges after authorities uncovered his plan to target local police officers in an attack similar to the 2016 Dallas ambush.

The investigation, which involved quick action by the FBI and the Corpus Christi Police Department (CCPD), averted a tragedy, ensuring the safety of law enforcement officers and the public. Authorities acted swiftly to prevent a situation that could have resulted in significant loss of life.

THE CASE REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION

When 3NEWS reached out to the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office for more information, they confirmed that the case is still under investigation.

“Someone has been taken into custody on a warrant but no charges have been filed and nothing has been presented to the grand jury, but there is an ongoing investigation related to this individual,” said prosecutor Sophie Moore.

FBI TAKES EVERY THREAT SERIOUSLY

The FBI’s prompt intervention and the collaboration between federal and local law enforcement agencies were crucial in preventing the attack. FBI Special Agent in Charge, Oliver Rich, emphasized,

“We take every threat seriously, and we will continue to work alongside our local partners to stop any attempt to harm the public or law enforcement.”

Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
