Well, can't say I didn't see this one coming. After a car slammed into their booth mid-vlog, two Houston influencers are taking the restaurant to court, demanding $1 million.

Nina Santiago and Patrick Blackwood got the shock of their lives when filming a food vlog inside CuVee’s Culinary Creations in Houston, Texas. The two were mid-bite when a car slammed through the windows and went straight into their booth.

Santiago recounts the terrifying experience.

"It was a terrifying, scary experience, and like I said, one thing keeps replaying in my head was his facial expression," Santiago said. "Like, we knew it was the end, but for some reason, it just wasn't."

Now, Santiago and Blackwood are suing the restaurant, claiming there should have been protective structures or barriers in place to prevent vehicles from driving through the large glass window. The couple is seeking 1 million dollars in damages, which comes as little surprise to many.

They’ve retained Tony Buzbee; the same lawyer who defended Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in his impeachment trial and represented 120 accusers in the sexual misconduct allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

When the video of the crash went viral, people online already knew this was about to be a gold mine for the influencers.

"The driver of the SUV is about to get sued by the restaurant, and I hope the victims sue. Insurance is about to put in the work, too," a Youtube comment read.

We will see how this plays out in court, but one thing is for sure: I'm never sitting next to a window again.
