Massively destruction smashed across Houston Thursday evening leaving more than 1 million people without power and killing 4.

Videos are surfacing online showing the destruction over the city of Houston. A severe thunderstorm quickly rolled in with winds up to 78 mph. Trees were uprooted, transmission towers collapsed, and windows were completely shattered.

"Widespread debris, glass, and electrical lines are in the streets," the NWS warned.

The dangerous storm shattered out windows on high-rise apartments, leaving glass and debris shattered everywhere in the city. One TikToker posted the view from their home overlooking Houston through their shattered windows.

4 PEOPLE KILLED IN THE SEVERE STORM

Houston Mayor, John Whitmire, said at least four people were killed by the devastating storm.

One man who lived in a garage apartment was killed after a nearby tree broke and fell over onto his home, it reportedly took nearly an hour to rescue the man's body.

Another victim, a 31-year-old mother who recently had given birth to her 4th child ran to her car to move it out of the way, after noticing an unstable tree nearby. While moving the vehicle, the tree fell over and pinned her inside, ultimately killing her.

A third victim, a 73-year-old man who was working inside of a cement truck was killed after a nearby massive crane fell over onto the cab of the truck.

Firefighters and officials will be working tirelessly to get the city back into a safe state.

"We had firefighters taking live wires off (Interstate) 290 that was blocking thoroughfares," Mayor Whitmire said.
