One of my favorite memories from when I was growing up was going to hang out at the arcade at the mall. Here in Victoria, Tilt and Aladdin's Castle were the two options at the Victoria Mall and if you want to take back further, Goldmine. Quarters used to be life on a Saturday afternoon.
That feeling of nostalgia can once again be experienced in Victoria at The Playback Venue and Arcade. Here is the cool thing: you can rent it out for your own event. Not only are there video games, but other nostalgic nods to the days including VHS and DVD movies. It is so cool to have this vibe in Victoria, so get out and support it.

Weekends were ruled by video games.

On Friday nights in Victoria, my spot was Skate World and while skating was fun, I spent most of my time near the video games, specifically playing Street Fighter 2. I would continue the video games vibes at Victoria Mall at Tilt or Aladdin's Castle.

You could spend all Saturday at the mall.

Not only did I play games at the mall on Saturday's, I browsed the music stores to the latest cassette single, stopped by Radio Shack, while enjoying a corn dog from Corn Dog 7. It's actually a little depressing going to the mall today.
