Disturbing reports are starting to surface from the border. The latest trends shows that Smugglers are using sleep aids and melatonin gummies to keep them from talking at the border.

ABC News 7 reports that The Border Chief in El Centro, California,USBP Chief Patrol Agent Gregory K. Bovino, has recently posted photos of children who had been smuggled and heavily dosed with sleep aids to prevent the children from speaking to authorities.

"These criminals are not related to the children they smuggle. These traffickers go to extreme lengths to smuggle these children—giving them sleep aids to keep them quiet," Bovino said.

This week a Laredo, Texas woman was charged with operating a child smuggling ring, admitting to "sedating a young girl with melatonin gummies." In one instance, an officer had difficulty waking the children. Officers observed that the children remained extremely groggy while interviewing the children. It was soon discovered there was no family relationship with the children ages 11 and 8 and the men bringing them into the Country.



A Pflugerville ISD teacher has been accused of breaking a kindergartner's fingers was arrested on September 18. According to Fox 26 and court documents, McKinzie Merrell, 31, was arrested and released the same day. She was charges with injuring a child! Read the full story.
