An elderly Texas man has been sentenced to life in prison after receiving his 6th DWI! Joseph Haren was sentenced to Life in Prison for Driving While Intoxicated with Two or More Previous Convictions for the Same Type of Offense. Just how many convictions has he had? Six!

The Comal County Criminal Districts Attorney's Office reports that this was the Defendant’s sixth DWI conviction, and he was subject to 25 years to 99 years or life in prison. The jury heard evidence from the independent witnesses who saw the defendant’s driving, they saw the surveillance video of the collision with the dumpster, and they saw police interactions with the defendant, which were shown on the officer’s body worn cameras. If he serves at least 30 years, he could be eligible for parole.

A Texas apartment complex has recently sent a bill to a family of a woman who has recently passed away!  The bill from the apartment complex for $15,676 and a collections notice!  The Texas law states that family members can cancel a lease if a loved one passes away. However, this apartment complex doesn't believe this.

According to news4sanantonio.com, Sandra Bonilla, 91 and fore more than 10 years she lived at the Lodge at Shavano Park Apartments. At the time of her death, Bonilla had almost a year left on her two-year lease. Ultimately the family received a bill for $14,368 in "accelerated rent" and a $1,117 lease break fee. It even states the reason for her move-out as "deceased". Sounds pretty sketchy to me.  This is a developing story. Read more of the story by clicking here.
