I am always on the look for big Texas Lottery winners in our area and here is another one! This win was on the newest $5 Texas scratcher, "Jaws." The winning ticket was sold in Port O'Connor at the Speedy Stop, 1620 W. Adams. The ticket number was number 29 in a book of 75. This was the first $100,000 top prize claimed in Texas for the game of "Jaws." Three $100,000 top prizes remain in this game.

The 50th Anniversary of "Jaw's"

The "Jaws" ticket was issued on June 2, 2025 and celebrates the iconic movie. Hard to believe that this movie was released in 1975!  Sergio Rey, acting deputy executive director of the Texas Lottery, said in a press release that the "Jaws" ticket allowed for entertainment for Texas Lottery players.

“Our "Jaw's" extravaganza will be swimmingly entertaining, We can’t wait to give players the opportunity to revisit this iconic movie or enjoy it for the first time while offering them the chance to win $100,000 instantly or up to $1 million in our second-chance promotion.”

This is one of the more simple Texas Lottery scratch off games that matches numbers, or if you reveal a shark you win double the prize.

Even if you don't win on your scratch-off, you still have a chance to win prizes with their second chance drawings. Check out the video below - It's pretty dramatic. Good luck and play responsibly.

Maybe I should buy a book of these Jaws tickets and scratch while watching the movie. That would be fun.
