Sparklight Awards $5 Thousand To VCAM

It's always awesome to see wonderful things happening in our Community! Thanks to Sparklight, individuals experiencing homelessness will receive essential support through a $5,000 grant from Sparklight to Victoria Christian Assistance Ministry (VCAM). Awarded through the Sparklight Charitable Giving Fund.

These funds help provide food, hygiene products and personal care items through the nonprofit’s homeless outreach services, helping meet immediate needs and support individuals on their path toward stability.

The VCAM funds come at a very critical time for their organization.

Sparklight awarded more than $125,000 in grants to 28 nonprofit organizations across the cities and towns it serves, including right here in Victoria. The money comes to VCAM at a very critical time. VCAM leaders shared the following quote.

"The need for homelessness outreach services continues to grow, and with it comes increased costs. This funding will help ensure we can continue meeting our most vulnerable residents’ needs and provide essential resources that offer dignity, comfort and hope.”

Nonprofits can apply for a 2026 grant stating in October.

Nonprofit organizations may apply for a grant during open application periods each spring and fall. Applications for the fall 2026 cycle will be accepted Oct. 1‒31, 2026.
