A winning $2 million Poweball ticket that was sold in April was just claimed 12 days before it was set to expire.  According  lonestaralive.com, under lottery rules, the ticket holder would have forfeited any claim to a prize after the expiration date on the 180th day following the draw date. That meant the prize-winning Powerball ticket purchased in Austin in April would have expired on Oct. 7.
