Zailey Cano from Calhoun HS is our Athlete of the Week
Way to go Zailey Cano! She is our athlete of the week.
Zailey is a powerhouse on and off the mat as a senior at Calhoun High School!
Zailey achieved notable rankings throughout her competition history, securing 4th place in her freshman year, 5th place in her sophomore year, and 2nd place at the State level during her junior year.
This upcoming powerlifting season, Zailey is focused on achieving 1st place in the state competition.
In addition to her competitive achievements, she was recognized as the Best Heavyweight Lifter during her junior year and earned 1st place at the regional championships.
Remember when we said Zailey is a rock star off the mat at well?
Well, upon graduating, Zailey plans to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) where she will continue her powerlifting journey. She intends to major in Biology with a goal of transferring into a Pre-Dental program to pursue a career in dentistry.
Zailey is the truest example of giving it your all to accomplish your dreams and we have no doubt that this young lady will super succeed in anything she does, which is why she was chosen by Victory Auto Group as the Athlete of the week.
She just scored a $50 gift card and is now eligible to win one of two $1250.00 scholarships presented by Victory Auto Group.
