Texas Pageant Queen Makes Event Aimed To Empower Teens
This Saturday, the Victoria Public Library will transform into a hub of inspiration and empowerment for teens across Texas.
TEXAS TEEN EMPOWERMENT EXPO
WHEN: Saturday, August 10
WHERE: Victoria Public Library
TIME: 1pm-5pm
The Texas Teen Empowerment Expo, spearheaded by Miss Golden Crescent, Amelia Sparkman, promises an afternoon filled with enriching experiences designed for teenagers.
The inspiration for this event came from Miss Golden Crescent’s personal journey. She launched the "Be Kind to Yourself" movement on Instagram, where she interviewed individuals about the significance of self-love.
Amelia Sparkman explained,
"Self-love means a lot to me. Growing up I had a lot of strong female leaders in my life and one thing they always taught me was that self-love is the most important form of love. ”
WHAT TO EXPECT
Inside the library, various booths will showcase teen clubs, organizations, businesses, and hobbyists, offering a chance to explore new interests and make connections. The first 150 teens who attend the event will receive exclusive swag bags.
As teens enter the event they will be given a free raffle ticket. Nearly every 30 minutes, a door prize will be raffled off, offering tons of opportunities for attendees to leave with more than just inspiration.
Attendees can hear from speakers discussing crucial topics like mental health, self-love, and business/finance. These sessions aim to provide valuable insights and support for teens navigating these important aspects of their lives.
FREE TO ATTEND!
The event is free and open to the public, no need to register ahead of time, just walk right in! Please feel free to bring canned food, as donations are encouraged to support the Golden Crescent Food Bank.
The Expo is not just an opportunity to connect with peers but also a chance to create a positive and supportive environment. Don’t miss out on this exciting first-time event right here in Victoria, Texas!
