The Iconic Sunrise Mall in Corpus Christi is Being Demolished

The iconic Sunrise Mall in Corpus Christi where so many of us have great memories has started to be demolished! For the longest time, walking into Sunrise Mall was like walking into a ghost town!

Not only great memories but this was the filming location of the movie "Billie Jean" in the 80s. Which brought so much excitement to Corpus Christi during a legendary time for malls in America. However, the malls success was short lived.  The mall's decline happened quickly. Throughout the years, it tried to continue to function. However, in 2019, it officially closed its doors.
