This Dallas, Texas Mansion Has a Haunted Waterpark and Criminal History

We all dream about winning a huge Texas lottery worth millions upon millions of dollars. With that money, we wouldn't have to worry about daily expenses or the struggle of saving up for a nice vacation. We could just do it. We could also use that instant wealth to build our dream home. For a mansion in Dallas, Texas, it was not built thanks to winning a huge lottery, it was built based on alleged fraud.

Dr. Richard Malouf

Dr. Richard Malouf started this property in 2003. The home contains 10 bedrooms, four dining areas, 22 bathrooms and sits on four acres in the prestigious Preston Hollow neighborhood. There are actually two homes on the property. The main house as described above attached to a 10 car garage that's attached to a second structure that houses a full size basketball court, theater, game room, bowling alley and a bar.

If that wasn't enough, in the backyard is essentially a small waterpark. There are three huge waterslides that flow into a massive pool. There is also a lazy river that goes around the entire park. That lazy river flows through a "haunted" cave that is lined with animatronic skeletons.

The Criminal History

Dr. Richard Malouf was an orthodontist in the Dallas area. In 2015, he was accused of defrauding the State of Texas out of tens of millions of dollars in Medicaid funds (dallasobserver.com). I couldn't find anything online if he was ever found guilty of these accusations. The home went up for sale originally in 2017 and has been sold a couple of times since then.

It's an impressive home in Dallas. It's not known (at least from what I could find) if the home is still on the market. But rest assured, if someone does own this home, they, their friends and their close relatives would never have to vacation anywhere again. They could just stay here.
