Gunmaker Watchtower Firearms, which has its manufacturing base in Frisco, Texas and a corporate office in Spring, Texas filed for bankruptcy last week according to Chron.com. The lower demand for guns is among the reasons why Watchtower has had rough times lately.
Watchtower Firearms carries a "range of military, civilian, and precision firearms, suppressors, and accessories". In 2023, Watchtower Firearms purchased F-1 Firearms. with the goal of focusing on 3 key markets which were consumers, domestic and foreign military, and law enforcement.

Americans bought 15.3 million guns in 2024, down from a record 21.8 million in 2020, according to The Trace. Even Texas is seeing slower sales, with more than 213,000 guns sold in March 2020 compared to almost 114,000 this January.
