Jaden Smith treated his mother for her birthday. Jada Pinkett Smith turned 47 on Tuesday and celebrated by going on a so-called safari with her husband Will and their son, who planned the adventure.

Will, of course, captured the day on Instagram. His post shows the family feeding lettuce to an assortment of exotic animals that a man named Ron Semler keeps on his winery ranch in Malibu, Calif.

Among the wildlife in the ranch's enclosure were a llama, a zebra and a giraffe apparently named Stanley. They're reportedly all former Hollywood animals who survived the grueling life of an actor and live out their retirement in a scenic valley 30 minutes north of Los Angeles.

Jaden took a break from opening on J. Cole's K.O.D. Tour to make the day happen. The pair perform tonight in Detroit and wrap the tour 11 shows later in Boston on Oct. 10.

The 20-year-old rapper and actor dropped his latest album Syre: The Electric Album, featuring stripped down renditions of songs on his November album Syre, in June.
