Kevin Hart Addresses Cheating Scandal at Comedy Show: ‘I’m Going to Be a Better Man’
Kevin Hart is going through a PR nightmare but as the old saying goes, “the show must go on.” On Saturday (Sept. 23), the embattled comedian had a show in Columbus, Ga., and addressed his cheating scandal.
To quickly recap, Hart is being extorted over a sex tape that allegedly features him and another woman who has been identified as Montia Sabbag. The 27-year-old stripper has hired celebrity attorney Lisa Bloom to clear her name in the extortion case. The FBI reportedly is investigating the case and know the identity of the extortionist(s).
At Hart’s show, he came out and clearly had to address the elephant in the room -- so to speak. , "We got a lot of s--- to talk about, people,” he told the crowd, according to TMZ. It appears that he didn’t elaborate any further on the scandal but he did thank the crowd for their support.
"This is as real as it gets right here," he told the crowd. "I'm going through some s--- right now, I'm going through drama. And the best thing to have when you go through drama is a goddamn support group that chooses to ride and die with you."
"Things happen for a reason," he continued. "I promise I'm going to come out a better man, a better father [and] a better husband."
After the show, Hart went on his Instagram page to thank fans in Columbus, Ga. for their hospitality. "Thank you Columbus Ga....I love & appreciate all of you," he wrote. "I swear my fans are as real as it gets...You guys are ride or die and I love you for that."
