Mariah Carey -- the artist behind "All I Want For Christmas Is You," the most iconic contemporary holiday song released in modern day memory -- will perform at next month’s VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night concert special, along with several other musical legends.

Carey was the first artist announced to play the show, which will tape on December 2 at the Kings Theatre in New York City, according to the network’s official site.

“I’m thrilled VH1 asked me to return to the DIVAS stage this year,” Carey said in a statement. “The DIVAS special offers a wonderful opportunity to perform for my fans over the holidays, which is my favorite and most festive time of year.”

Carey’s forthcoming performance will be the fourth time the “#Beautiful” singer has appeared on a VH1 Divas special. Unsilent Night, meanwhile, marks the revival of the Divas franchise following a four-year hiatus in programming.

The news of Carey’s involvement in the holiday special couldn’t come at a better time, either. Now that Halloween has come and gone, Christmas obsessives will likely crank up the volume on “All I Want For Christmas Is You” without having to turn their Spotify to “private session” for being seasonably inappropriate.

A tweet from user @ZachACole even pointed out the noticeable upward climb in YouTube plays that coincided with the start of November, offering definitive proof that Mariah Carey is the true queen of Christmas songs, forever may she reign.

Also joining Carey on the VH1 Divas stage are Chaka Khan, Vanessa Williams, Teyana Taylor and Patti LaBelle, as well as JoJo, Bebe Rexha and Serayah who are joining forces as a trio to cover Darlene Love’s 1993 song “All Alone on Christmas,” according to Billboard.

VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night will air on Monday, December 5, at 9PM EST on VH1.
