More gruesome details are emerging in the chilling case tied to Texas singer D4vd.
What started as a foul odor inside a Hollywood tow yard has spiraled into something out of a true crime nightmare.
When officers finally popped open the Tesla’s trunk, they found a bag stuffed with heavily decomposed, dismembered remains. The body was so far gone from the Los Angeles summer heat that investigators couldn’t even determine if it belonged to a man or woman.

Teen identified in gruesome murder

Now, weeks later, the mystery victim has a name. The L.A. County Medical Examiner confirmed the remains belong to 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, a California teen who had been missing since April. According to her mother, she vanished after reportedly dating someone named “David.”

That detail alone has raised chilling questions because the Tesla is registered to 20-year-old David Anthony Burke, the singer better known as D4vd, whose music blew up on TikTok.

Neighbors recall the Tesla.

Neighbors in the upscale Bird Streets neighborhood told Rolling Stone the Tesla had been haunting the streets for weeks, parked and unmoved like a ghost car. “It moved around,” one resident said. “It’s chilling.”
By the time the car was finally impounded, the smell was overwhelming. Rivas’ body had been hidden in that trunk for days, baking in triple-digit heat, slowly decomposing. Authorities later revealed she was stuffed into a bag, shoved into the front trunk of the Model Y, and left to rot.
Police say the Tesla was never reported stolen. At this point, the big unanswered questions are horrifyingly simple: how did Celeste end up there, who put her in that trunk, and why?
As of now, D4vd has not been named a suspect, though his team has confirmed he’s cooperating with authorities. He’s continued performing on his world tour, even appearing onstage in Wisconsin just one day before the grisly discovery. He’s still scheduled to play Los Angeles on September 20, not far from the neighborhood where his car once sat with a teenager’s body hidden inside.
