The question is, are you a fan of the new median on Navarro?  From what I have seen on my personal social media, the answer would be a resounding NO.  The current median, when completed, will go from Airline to the light in front of Wal Mart on Navarro.  Here are your options:  Learn how to properly make a u-turn, use the backroads and avoid Navarro, or find another place to go? [TAKE OUR POLL]

I personally can get anywhere on Navarro by using the backroads. Use Cameron for any business between Airline and Crestwood. Use Windsor, Filmore, and Lilac for any place between Crestwood and Mockingbird. Use Lilac, Stanley, and Salem for businesses between Mockingbird and Victoria Mall.

As we near the completion of the current Navarro median project. Talks of another median in Victoria have already started.  As reported by the Victoria Advocate, TXDOT is planning for another median project along Rio Grande and Houston Highway(Business 59). The proposed new median will be almost four miles long and like the current median, will have left-turn lanes at various points. You will also see more street lighting and sidewalks as well, with this project. This topic will be discussed at tonight's City Council meeting at 5 PM at City Council Chamber, If you can't attend, you can watch it virtually.

I have seen many social media posts along the lines of, why is the city doing this?  There are so many other areas of improvement needed? Here is a little clarification, the City of Victoria has nothing to do with the medians.  The medians are projects of the Texas Department of Transportation.
