Last week, Nicki Minaj declared that she wanted to give $25,000 to former Cosby Show actor Geoffrey Owens, who had recently been shamed for working as a cashier at a Trader Joe's supermarket. Just about a week later, though, it doesn't appear that the "Barbie Dreams" rapper has made good on her promise.

According to a report TMZ published today (Sept. 12), Nicki's team hasn't yet given the money to Owens, who has reportedly left his Trader Joe's job due to the unwanted attention he garnered after social media users posted images of him working at the store. The celebrity news site continues by saying Nicki and company haven't even contacted the actor.

While it doesn't look like the Queen rapper has given Owens the money she said she would, it also doesn't look like Owens will need it. After hearing of Owens' situation, actor-writer-director Tyler Perry reportedly offered him an acting job on his show, The Haves and the Have Nots.

In an additional note, TMZ says Owens isn't really checking for Nicki's money anyway. They say he doesn't want to be given any handouts, and that, if given the $25,000, he would donate it to a charity of his choice.

Here's to hoping Owens continues going about his life in the way he wants to.
